Voh Lamhe with Fog

I wanted to post this article yesterday but anyways … Does any one have memories associated with Fog that you remember and would like to share.

I had a wonderful experience and i still remember those moments, when we had gone for Jatra to Girnar (approx 200 people) and the day we reached Girnaar it was very very hot climate and everyone was talking how would we climb the dungar tomorrow. Girnar is supposed to be one of the tough dungar’s to climb due to big and continous steps all the way up. So everyone had decided that we would start very early which we did. But what a pleasant surprise we had in the morning. Weather was Foggy and as it was early morning temp was cool too and it was a perfect weather to climb Girnar.

When reached half the way we were crowded by the clouds all around us and as we went climbing up clouds stayed low and we were above the clouds. Scenery was just awesome. No one really felt stressed out when we reached the top.

  1. I remember that when Dimple came down here from East Coast in Dec 1998, there was so much fog all the way to the airport from my apartment. Her plane had to be cancelled due to fog. I have never seen that much fog ever again in the bay area.

While in Maui, Hawaii we went to some moutain and that had dense clouds from half way till up. We had to drive very slowly.

  2. In Lonavala, tiger point mostly remains foggy and too windy. We had gone there with B-MAP when they were here in India this summer. From tiger point you can see falls down the mountain. People do climb down to get wet in the falls on clear days.

  3. A nice topic. Unfortunately looks like no one is interested. But do keep posting. 🙂

  4. B-MAP ke ghar ke around bhi heavy duty fog paya gaya hai. Looks like Jahan B-MAP hai wahan fog hai. He he 😉

  5. My first visit to bay area in x-mas of 1999. On the day of return we went to Sweet Tomato on Lawrence for dinner. Sky was clear then. When we came out after dinner and headed to SF airport, it was so foggy that even fence at Moffet field was not visible from 101. One could only see red light on the fence. All the flights got canceled for that evening. And I got to stay over longer in bay area. 🙂
