The recent post on “Specialty Sandwiches and Bakery” woke up my lazy bones into posting this review which I have wanted to for a long time. Athena grill is a greek restaurant also near Scott and San Tomas intersection. It does not serve just your standard Mediterranean fare like Falafel etc but also a decent variety of vegetarian Greek food. Their vegetarian Mousaka is really good and the Feta and Kalamata Olive dip is to die for.

This motivates us to try this Grill soon….
Finally visited Athena Grill for the first time. And not that impressed by it. The Feta and Kalamata Olive dip/spread was actually 2 slabs of feta cheese with olives on the side. Not sure how is that to be eaten with pita/bread.
The Veg. Moussaka was ok and the falafel pita sandwich was just ok too. Better falafels are available at Falafel Bite off Lawrence Expy, Falafel Drivein in San Jose and Falafel,Etc in Fremont.
