Tuesday Puzzle

There are 5 hats – 2 red and 3 green. Three men A,B and C are made to stand in a line. A hat is placed on each one. C can see A’s and B’s hats and B can see A’s hat. A cannot see anyone’s hat. Any one person has to guess what color hat they themselves are wearing. After sometime passes by, A shouts out a color.
What color does he say ? How do you reach to that conclusion ?

2 Comments:

  1. 1. The Man C did not see 2 red hats in front of him ie A and B are not wearing Red hats..If he had he would have known his hat was Green color..

    2. The Man B in the middle did not see Red hat on A, if he had seen red hat, his own hat color would not be red as Man C could have guessed his hat color. Thus the Man B saw a green hat.

    3. Man A knows the above scenario and shouts that he is wearing a green hat…

  2. Good job Nilesh. Looks like I will have to turn up the difficulty level on the puzzles. 🙂
