March is here and weekends are getting booked quickly. It’s time to block the date for our potluck spring picnic and start planning.
Our picnic for the past few years has been on one of the even sundays of the month, though now toddlers have pathshala but theirs gets over early and those folks may have to join a bit late. If Saturday works for most folks then please respond.
Looking at the calendar of Mar, April, May and also spring break (different times for schools), tax filing dates etc- the two possible dates for spring picnic are April 28th or May 12th. Our Camping trip is during May memorial day weekend (May 25 – 27).
Looking forward to new ideas and suggestions to make the picnic more fun.

April 28 th sounds better than may 12( too close to camping). Lake Elizabeth park- Fremont is a good one – KoJain used to have it earlier.
Both the dates are fine with us.
Park near the Santa clara library. I think it is called central park.
I would also like to second Central Park in Santa Clara. Even John DeMorgan Park in Campbell is very nice

Looking at this list, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Fremont, Newark, Pleasanton never had the fortune of hosting the Spring Picnic till now. :-). Pleasanton / San Ramon may have some really good parks.

Golden Gate Park, an Francisco… if we wanna do something different, I can plan a treasure hunt for 2 hours (10 am – 12 pm )followed by potluck.

Santa Clara Central Park. They have a nice Gazebo that can be rented.
April 28th would be preferred.

Outsource the games part to the fantastic 4 — Romil, Naman, Nilay and Paras. Or we can have 4 Gals this time…. so that we can select whom to outsource for the coming KV camping 🙂
