In Christmas break I had gone to Vipassana meditation. My New Year started with meditation.
I know from KV family few had gone to this meditation.
It was a really great experience. At least one time we need to experience.
It is very organized, systematic and food was awesome. Volunteers did great job.
Many youngsters were with us I think from age 17/19.
It’s 10 days course for first timer. I know 10 days a lot from our busy schedule.
Interesting one Kalpana. Thanks for sharing. What was the daily schedule – is it meditation and discourses or more ?
Usually people will start meditation from 4am to 6:30am, which we can do at our room if we want to do it.
Group meditation which we need to attend at meditation center as follow:
8 to 9am – meditation
2:30 to 3:30pm – meditation
6:00 to 7:00pm – meditation
7:00 to 8:15pm Teacher’s discourse (discourse by Mr. Goenka by tape/video)
8:20 to 9:00 meditation
Breakfast 6:30am – 7:15am
Lunch: 11:00 – 11:45am
Tea/fruit: 5:00 – 5:30pm
For discourse they have in English, Hindi, and Chinese. At home I had listened in English tape then at the center I listened Hindi. In Hindi is more advance, but we can understand.
