Come back soon PDKS

Since Saturday, it has been a nostalgic week, remembering the good times we have been able to spend together. My first interaction with this wonderful couple was in 2000 when I first met the Kutchi folks (it wasn’t called KV then). And we shared a common place that time, the newest couples in the block. Never had I thought then (the first meeting) that we Gada’s will become so close to this always smiling, super energetic, organised and creative couple. It’s really rare to find friends with whom the frequency will match so much.
We met few times here and there after the first meeting. But practicing and planning for the 2002 Diwali party brought us closer. And after that year we’ve been through memorable experiences together. We are glad that we could spend so much time together and build so many wonderful memories.

We are really lucky or I should say that Kvites have been lucky that you both have been here amongst us. Both of you have this thing within you to give back both time and energy for friends. And it is not only for KV friends, be it Baslog gang or other friends of yours. The amount of time, effort and dedication you both spent on any event that is organised is commendable. Most of the spring picnics that KV went to, I remember Prashant going and checking out all the parks that were suggested almost every year before deciding which park to go to. And such dedication of yours also brings in a point that sometimes folks take you for granted and think that no worries, we are sure Prashant/Dimple would have taken care of it or found this out already. So in a way you have spoilt the folks 🙂 and it will take sometime for all of us to get used to without you both being here after July 2nd.
You both have always been the first one to call us or stop by, be it the moments of happiness or times of grief. And I am sure others will feel the same as well.
You both accomodate each and every thing that needs to be addressed in your busy schedule. There is always ever smiling attitude that we will take care of this, if no one else is volunteering to do it. Each and every thought/idea that comes to your mind will get executed, this is something very unique about you both, considering that both of you work full time, two kids and the tons of activities that you do.

While I could go on and on writing about you both, I would like to summarize it in the following two lines –

1. You both truly complement each other’s skills and it’s like a developer and QA engineer who works hand in hand for a bug free release. And this skill set together IMHO is the reason for all the succesful KV events. So continue these real life roles forever.

2. “Behind every succesful man, there is a wise woman” and that’s the case here 🙂 . Thanks Dimple for supporting Prashant and helping him plan all the KV events. You have been the backbone of all the events. We all owe a Big Thank you here to you as well.

We would like to wish you All The Best in this new challenge that you are jumping into. And we are certain that you will make lots of new friends in Pune and adjust well. Though at the same time, our heart will always be wishing that our paths cross again, i.e. come back soon …….

3 Comments:

  1. We can see that spirit of leadership in Kairavi too……….Suravi still small am sure will catch up the spirit too

  2. Very Nice and Sentimental Article. :-). I will post comments after 28th June. 🙂

  3. Thanks for the kind and encouraging words Bhavini. As we prepare to head back to India in 2 more days, we weigh our achievements (financially, career-wise, socially, etc) here in USA. The social treasure that we have accumulated outweighs everything else. The relationships that we developed with many KV families have been so fantastic that they are more dear to me that even my own Mumbai relatives. 🙂 . The frequency match among KV has been amazing. And Of course our frequency with some families has been so amazing that sometimes we have thinking about the same thing at the same time. 🙂

KV has been an experience after which anything else is bound to taste bland. 🙂 . Its also an experience after which I feel good in general about life and very satisfied with life. There is so much happiness, fun and enthusiasm within KV. And that has helped shape my personality and attitude. So I have to thank all of you for that. And Thanks for so many great memories over the years.

    Jai KV.
