As usual me and Kairavi were getting late today for her school. I hurriedly put her socks on and fetched her Dora shoes. I put one shoe on. Then took the other one and saw it had same curvature as first one.
I thought probably just my eyes and proceeded to take a closer look at both shoes. Still the same. “Am I losing my mind?” I thought. And on top of that I am getting late and I am still in house trying to figure out which shoe goes on which leg.
I looked at shoes from all angles trying to see if my eyes were just playing trick on my eyes. After all Kids shoes dont have a pronounced curvature as the adult shoes. Both had Dora characters on too. The thought “Has it been like this all these months and I basically did not notice” briefly flickered through my mind.
Then it struck me that Kairavi has possibly exchanged one of her shoes with someone else at school. Both shoes are of same size too. 🙂 So I burst into laughter at my confusion and made her wear the same type shoes on both her legs. And result is Kairavi is at school today with an odd pairing of shoes.
(Of course I told her teacher to find out who is wearing the other odd pair of shoes today 🙂 ). A Funny Start to the Weekend…..
That reminds me and I think Sanket will have a smirk on his face when and if he reads this.
At IIT we were all supposed to remove our chappals outside the Inst compi room and the chappals enter a stack (LIFO). Depending on when you enter and when you exit the room the chappals get switched. I have often walked around with a white chappal on the left leg and blue on the other. I once lost a very good expensive pair only to find it again after a few months. God only knows how many legs it had visited since then.
And if you are the last person to leave for the night, you may have to walk back to the hostel barefoot.
