If we have to show a photo identity each time we use our credit card why dont these companies issue credit cards with owners photo on it?

   I have a citibank mastercard credit card with my photo on it. You can call up the credit card company and ask them whether they have an option like this.

   I have been having this since 8-9 years i think. Its very convenient since whenever I present this card, the cashier will first blurt out “Can I see …” and then realize my photo is on the card and say “Oh that looks like you allright. No id needed”.

   But I agree that its a no brainer that all credit cards should have their owners photo on them. Would avoid lot of credit card related thefts.

   Of course another no brainer is to have a mangetic compass inbuilt in a car but the automakers dont make it the default 🙁
