Cooking in Pressure Pan

What do u make in Pressure Pan? I find it convenient to cook in pressure pan since it is faster, u need less oil and u do not have to stir. I used to make khichadi, pulav, tomato rice,  stuffed vegetables , mixed vegetable  sabzi ( what a call semi undhiyo). Yesterday I tried dal dhokdi it turned out good. I used Sejal’s recipe and it was good. What do u guys cook in pressure pan?

  1. Dhaan Shaak, Vermicelli Upma in pressure pan. Since u mentioned you used some recipe for Dal Dhokdi, can you please post it for the benefit of others 🙂

    Boil the dal. Crush it. Add masalas ( vagar, jaggery, peanuts and any other masalas u add) and enough water . When the water comes to boil add the dhokdi and stir in between and give 2 to 3 whistles ( depending on how thick your dhokdis are) You may have to use trial and error to figure out whether u need 2 or 3 whistles.

    Bhavini can u add ur recipes too dhaan shaak and vermicelli upma.

  3. I am guessing Pressure pan = small size cooker or similar.
    You can make any pulses,bean, Aloo and Dhudhi subzi directly in it.
    First do regular vagar & then give whistles as per the need.
    I know some folks make Dara Sheera & Dhudhi Halwa in cooker. I have not tried it and dont have recipe.
