Kesar tin price seems to have gone up. In past I have bough many times from New India Bazar in Santa Clara for $18-$20. This December Komal bought it for $24 from Sugandh in Milpitas. Yesterday when we inquired for price we were shokced. It is $50 in New India Bazar & $34 in Sugandh in Milpitas. If you happen to visit other store, could you inquire about the price & post it here.

I have inquired couple of places and Bharat Bazar and New India Bazar sell for $ 50 and Sugandh is selling the old lot for 34.99 because I had got it and it had previous label as $ 25.00.The price range is from $ 34.00 to $ 50.00
Wish I had known – could have started a side business (was just in Spain 🙂

“Gathering” brand kesar is available in patel brothers. Its priced at $120 for 32 ounces. In december when i bought it was priced at $165.
2 weeks back I had asked in New India Bazar and it was $ 180
Al Taj brand of Kesar in New India Bazar in Milpitas is $90 for 1 oz
I guess branding affects Kesar too
