One other thing that I noticed on my trip to India this time was the rise of Baba Ramdev during the past 1.5 years. 3-4 people recommended to me the Yoga exercises which Baba Ramdev does on TV every morning.
These relatives even claimed to have benefitted from these Baba Ramdev’s Yogic exercises including relief in Asthma, back pain, etc. For those who have Dish Network and the Hindi news channels I think Baba Ramdev comes on TV at about 5.30 am or so. Maybe on Sahara News Channel. The Pranayam is even available on Google Video.

I may try it out one of these days if I am able to wake up. 🙂
If u can’t wake up @ 5 then you can record it on DVR & try out later on 😉
I think Yoga is best done in the early morning hours.
Early morning hours would probably be the ideal time to do yoga. But I feel, doing it later is better than not doing it at all. ;). I do some selected yoga asanas and pranayams that Baba Ramdev shows on his video. They have benefitted me a lot. In fact, they have become my daily dose of ‘medicine’ for my gallstones problem. Missing a couple of days invariably causes my gall bladder to start paining. Baba Ramdev make pretty tall claims in his video to cure many common (and some not so common) diseases. And seeing some of the benefits myself, I do feel the claims may not be so far off.
