I remember the first time I went for an outing in USA (White Mountains, NH), we obviously ended up staying at one of the Patel Motel’s. I was super excited seeing the board “Breakfast included”, as I expected some hot poha or upma. Of course I was very disappointed seeing stale cold bagels and croissants.
But now that I live in mini India-Bay Area story is much different. Perfect Weekend starts with some nice hot Indian breakfast.Its not surprising that lot many desi joints in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara have started serving breakfast.
Komala Vilas- I dont have to mention this one. We find lot many KVites making a stop here before they head for KV Camping. This one offers hot idlis, vadas, pongal , dosas and nice filter coffee six days a week- Wednesday thru Monday.
Kwality Dhaba- this one is in the same complex as Komala Vilas and India Cash n Carry. One can enjoy nice pubjabi style paranthas, chole bhaturas, jalebis and masala chai. Its good value for money. They charge $3.99 and one plate is almost good for two.
Swathi Tiffins- OnLawrence Expy they have been serving South Indian breakfast for long time now. Their quality is not stable though.
Dosa Place(Santa Clara)- they recently started serving breakfast on weekends only. Havent tried their breakfast menu yet.

Awesome post Sneha. I have not tried any Indian place for breakfast yet. But upon seeing this post, maybe one of these days we will go.
I am not much of brekfast person. On weeknd morning to get ready & go out of house for brakfast specially is not my cup of tea.

Madras Cafe in Mt.View also serve breakfast. Haven’t tried though.
i think we’ve tried Madras cafe breakfast menu. was very nice for one of those weekend mornings, when you get up late, r hungry, lazy to cook anything & so go out for brunch as early as u can
