I dont remember a kutchi character ever in Hindi TV serials (or films). But recently while watching “Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma” on SAB tv, I realized the main character “Jethalal” is shown to be a kutchi. The name of his Electronics shop is “Gada Electronics” in the serial and in one episode he mentions “Kutchi vyaapari se panga mat lena” or something like that referring to himself.
His wife’s name is “Daya”. I just thought it was interesting that the main family in a serial has been shown to be a Kutchi family. I like the serial too. Its something like Ados Pados where the setting is a building where different cultures reside (Punjabi, South Indian, Marathi, etc). Each episode is usually an interaction between these neighbor families. There are very very few new Hindi serials I like and this is one of them. 🙂

There are other episodes on youtube split into 2-3 parts.
But even these good serials have not escaped from the dramatization which has become a norm nowadays.
