Camp KV 2009 – Activities

Starting a new thread for activities to do during Camp KV 2009. This includes daytime activities and Campfire activities.

Families are requested to think of some short fun games for daytime as well as during Campfire time.

Campfire activities can include singing songs, telling jokes, impromptu dances, music playing (since we have talents who can play the guitar, dhol and keyboard), etc.

As Dimple mentioned there is a nice amphitheater which can be made use of to play some group games. Like Housie, etc.

Other suggestions include Hiking, Water activities, Yoga, etc.

Once again think of some creative things to do during Camp KV 2009 to make it one memorable camping outing.

You need not announce actual game here but just tell which kind of game u could lead.

  3. campfire time – kids talent show – singing, musical instrument, dance, joke telling, story telling

day time – traditional indian games: lagori, squareball, kabbaddi

  4. Day time – kabbaddi, lagori

  5. Adding to day time games: Badminton.
    Other daytime activities: Hiking

  6. How about having a dedicated time to know more about our young KVites? Each one could come forward and share their achievements – educational, art, music, sports etc. For e.g. Share the level they are in a particular sport(ski, ice skating, swimming etc), some new songs/instruments that they learnt during the past year, any educational achievements etc etc. It could be anything that they have done in the past year.

  7. I think “Young Achievers” idea is a GREAT idea. WE have a nice amphitheater too. Each Kid can prepare 1-2 mins of what “achievements” they did in the past year. (Can be as simple as I attended this class, or I did some creative artwork).

Campers please take note and convey to your kids. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. “Birds of a feather” : Kind of like an ice breaker game.
Ask interesting and weird questions like “who had an accident in the last 6 months”, “Who went to a party on the wrong day”, “Who uses Colgate toothpaste at home” and make the concerned people stand up. Thus you discover “Birds of a feather”. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will conduct this game. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. I will bring Housie with a twist
