KV Diwali 2023 – Doors open Sunday at 10:00am

Hope everyone is excited for KutchValley’s 22nd Diwali celebration – Khatti Meethi Diwali (Celebrating 22 Years of Harmonious Contrasts)!! This year we will celebrate together with over 500 attendees, and it is going to be an exciting event!

Venue: India Community Center, 525 Los Coches St, Milpitas (Nov 5th, 10:00am to 5:30pm)

There is plenty of parking all around the building as well as on the road. Just don’t park in adjacent buildings that have signs posted for “No ICC” parking.

Doors open at 10:00am. Arrive Early, Arrive Early, Arrive Early!!! There will be Jalebi/Fafda/Tea breakfast at 10:00am sharp for those who arrive on time!

Kudos to the enthusiasm of KV, as always we have a packed lineup of events and a lot of time to socialize. Here is the Agenda and Program Lineup for the day.

Dress in your best Diwali clothes, feel free to team up within family or with others to create the “Harmonious Contrasts” in your dressups! And please do not forget to take & share your pictures on Diwali 2023 Facebook album. We will also take a KV group picture right after the DJ hour ends near the stage.

Important Guidelines & Reminders: 

  • Please be courteous to volunteers as they are here to help make our event a success. If you run into any unforeseen situation kindly contact a Diwali team member, we are here to help.
  • Please ensure that all your trash is properly disposed of in the garbage bins and not left on tables or on the floor. If you notice any bin that is full then please look for another bin to throw the trash. Humble request to all parents to ensure that your children’s plates, napkins and water bottles are also trashed/recycled properly.
  • Please do not socialize near the food serving counters to keep the lines moving. There is another educational event going on in the premises so be mindful of other guests using the facility.
  • We sincerely request that when Lunch opens up only the young kids, seniors and Performers for the 2nd half get in the line first. Others are requested to socialize for 15 mins before queueing up ?
  • Our caterer provides a limited quantity of Desserts and we always order enough for every single person. We sincerely request everyone to be mindful of the quantity while self-serving the Desserts.
  • If you are sitting in the front rows then please do not leave your seat or walk around when a performance is in progress, so as to not disrupt the video recordings.
  • On Sunday Nov 5th clocks go backwards by 1 hour due to Daylight savings time. Please take that into account while planning your time on our event day.
  • I-680 southbound is closed on Nov 5th and due to this there will probably be more traffic than usual on I-880 southbound, so those coming from East Bay please plan to leave even earlier (or just dont turn back your clocks for Daylight savings ?)
