Local Museums

Recently, we discovered that there is a local history museum within two miles of my house. Miloni had a field trip at that museum. I had never heard about that museum before. It is just a old fire department building. I volunteered so I went along with Miloni’s class. It was a great visit

The museum was about how people lived in olden days and also about Fremont’s history. There were hands on activities for kids to experience how people washed their clothes, made butter, stitched their clothes, leisure activities etc. Staff was very dedicated and interactive with the kids.

Here is the address to the museum.190 Anza St.Fremont, CA 94539. It is open only some weekends of the month.

Another small museum in Fremont is Children’s natural history museum. It is a good one too.

I have heard there are few museums in the Niles area but I have not explored them.

I am interested in knowing about other local museums. This will be a great experience for kids as well as adults. Do you know of any museum in your city or near by city?

  1. Great post. Small museums offer a nice couple of hours of outing for kids. The other day I was driving down Mission Blvd and saw the Niles Train Sculpture. https://www.fremont.gov/1549/Niles-Train-Sculpture
