If you happen to be around LA, then you can visit California Science Center to see Space Shuttle Endeavour.
The Endeavour experience begins with companion exhibit featuring images and artifacts that relate the shuttle program to California, where the orbiters were built. It has various artifacts like tires, fuel cell, etc. There is also a simulator ride to experience Endeavour missions from an astronaut’s point of view. The ticket price is $5 per person. This ride is not that great and can be skipped. Following the exhibit, you will go below to the Samuel Oschin Pavilion to see the actual shuttle Endeavour up close. Note that if you are going on weekends or holidays you will have to reserve time. Admission is free but there is paid parking.
