Trying to compile a list not to be missed food (either roadside or restaurants) during the trip to Mumbai. I can think of the following but please chime in your suggestions to form an exhaustive list 🙂
1. South Indian food – Ramashray (Matunga)
2. Street Multi Variety Dosa (Schezuan Dosa, Jini Dosa etc) – Ghatkopar near Khau Gali
3. Toast Sandwich – Right place (Breach Candy)
4. Pani Puri – Guru Kripa (Sion) – I think they claim to make it in mineral water 😛
5. Vada Pav – Jumbo King ???
6. Pav Bhaji – Achija (Ghatkopar)
7. Frankie – Tibbs (Shivaji Park)
Anand Dosa – Vile Parle West
For Toast Sandwich / Grilled Triangle Sandwich :
1) Sandwizza near Santa Cruz (West) Station.
2) Jay Sandwich Stall near National College, Linking Road, Bandra (W)
1) Sandwitch near Santa Cruz station (west) is Swastik Sandwitch
2) Bachelorr’s Juice center near Chowpatty
3) Ashok Vada pav & Bhaji pav – Near Kirti College Dadar
4) Original Gujarati Thali – Chetan’s near Kala Ghoda (Regal Cinema)

Also try chocolate sandwich at Pani Puri Walla opposite Premier School in Matunga……
We tried a new restaurant Tosa in Vile Parle (E) had lovely Indian traditional food like daal baati churma, bajra roti and baigan dodo,etc.
Also tried Chocolavia a dessert place in Vile Parle (E) next to Naturals ice cream….awesome desserts…They have a small party room downstairs ideal for get togethers hosting around 15-20 people.

Try breakfast at Basant Colony Chembur….Daal Pakvan, Cholle Batura, Chaas…..its yummmmm!!!
