Golden Gate recreation area has lots to offer – for photographers or nature lovers, hikers or kids.
Lands End lookout is one such location, managed by NPS & Golden Gate Recreation.
At lands End lookout there is a series of stunning views at every turn in this beautiful trail.
The trail also has beach access (at one point close to 240 steps to climb down), view of Golden Gate bridge (and when sun/clouds play hide and seek – every pictures of the bridge comes out to be different from the previous)
Lands End
Sutro baths is located next to the Cliff house at the Lands end lookout. Sutro baths was a privately owned swimming pool complex, fire destroyed this place but the remains can still be visited.
It was also served by a rail line once. The remains now are a concrete structure which can be fun to explore.
There is plenty of parking in the parking lot as well as street parking too. Also has a gift shop and a cafe+full service restaurant.

The hike is really good & views are very nice.
We made it to this point of attraction while we were in US recently. It was a nice outing for us. After visiting Sutro Bath we went to the nearby Ocean Beach and later had lunch at Burma Superstar restaurant which is not that far away also.
Thanks for the original post Bhavini. 🙂
