This is an interesting variation on the traditional Musical Chairs game. We played this game with the Pune Kutchi Yuva Mandal on their Goa trip. It was fun. Form teams containing 3 people each – one adult male, one adult female, and one child. Arrange chairs in a circle. Before each round, the moderator will announce a specific pattern that the team has to do.
For example in the following photo, the instructions were
“Legs of 2 people should touch below the chair while 1 person should be sitting on the chair”.
Another example below. The instructions were
“One person on all 4 fours. One person sitting on this first person. And third person holding chair above both the other team members”.
The music plays and everyone goes in a circle. Once the music stops, the teams not only have to grab an empty chair but also do the formation. Folks who are not able to grab a chair or do the correct formation are OUT. Each round a chair gets removed from the circle.
The moderator can come up with his own creative formations. He can take into account the fact that the sizes of the 3 people in the team are different. So he can issue the formation “One person lying completely below the chair between the chair legs, one person sitting on the chair and one person behind the chair”. In this case the child will be able to do the below the chair part easily. The teams that dont have a child in them (for whatever reason) will be at an disadvantage. :-).
Good idea but moderator and participants need to be acive and smart. It can be chaotic and high energy like KV games 🙂
Interesting game. Hiten, I can visualize that energy 🙂
