R2I 4 PDKS

In an effort to boost our facebook friend count (since we have exhausted all possible avenues here) and push for that magic 500 friends number we have decided to go into adventure mode and prepare for a roller coaster ride in a new amusement park called Pune.

Yes, its with a very heavy heart that we announce Return to India For PDKS. The timeline is end of June or early July.

How does one prepare to get separated from one’s own family???? A nice quote comes to our mind as we PDKS try to find ways to console ourselves.

“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened”

We consider ourselves very fortunate to be a part of the KV family. And we aint giving up on KV yet. :-). KV has bigger goals to achieve and we will all work towards that goal no matter where we are. There are still some weeks left for us to have some group fun with you all. So we plan to enjoy our remaining days here to the fullest.

More updates later on in the coming days.

  1. Wish you all the very best for your ride in the new amusement park!! We enjoyed our ride in the bay area with the whole KV family. And we again take this opportunity to thank PDKS for organizing all the fun filled activities and giving us the memories that we will cherish for our lifetime.
Looking forward to such activities in Mumbai/Pune.

  2. Hey PDKS,

Wow! that’s a BIG surprise. Shocked…Unbelievable….Still wondering its not one of your famous ways to fools us πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
I hope I am right this time.

Ab hamara KV.com ka kya hoga??? πŸ™ πŸ™

It’s a great loss for KutchValley.com in Silicon valley but a huge gain for KutchValley in Pune/Mumbai. We are happy that you have made a decision and will be going back to India and my favourite place Pune also sad that we will miss a great Kutchi family here.

Our Mukhiya of KutchValley is leaving big shoes to fill….

For consolation I am reminded of a quote from Charles Dickens

The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again – Charles Dickens

Whenever we are in Mumbai,India we will catchup with you guys in Pune/Mumbai and have the joy of meeting you again.

    Hasta La Vista PDKS.

~ Nilesh Vandana, Saahas & Saanvi (NVSS)

  3. That is a big surprise indeed. Wow!!! That is a big decision. Good luck. Will miss your enthusiasm.

  4. While some of the folks who knew this is coming and have been praying/hoping/convincing/dreaming that this won’t be true, it is indeed sad that the reality is different and this will leave a big void for us which will be irreplacable. However our hope now is that it’s like a ride/a little longer trip to India and you folks return back here again soon.

  5. Wish you good luck…will miss you all… and most of as told by Nilesh and Bhavini .

  6. PDKS we cherish all the moments spent with you & you will surely be missed. But as we know the only constant thing is change. Hope that our path do cross in Des as it has in Pardes. Wishing you all the luck & best wishes!!
    –Bhavesh & Deepa.

  7. Good luck PDKS ! We will surely miss you.
Thanks for .. I don’t even know where to start, so I’ll just say “Thanks for everything”.

As Nilesh rightly said, this is going to leave big hole in KV (BayArea), one that I don’t think anyone can fill. You all will be dearly missed especially when all hell breaks loose managing 100+ Kutchis at future events πŸ™‚

Wish you luck, health, fun and good prospects wherever you go.

    ~Jurmi

  8. We can only say that KV will not be the same without you…………..
You truly were the Mukhiya……You took on the self owned responsibility of all of us…..
We truly appreciate your emails and calls for help on every big event in our lives……
We shall miss you but nonetheless we wish the Best for you…….

  9. Good luck PDKS…

It’s big news and good news…Jianisha was already missing Kairavi in soccer game.

We weren’t thinking that you folks will go…but things happened you won’t even think about it.
Per sure in future will see you in Mumbai/Puna.

    KVJ

  10. Wow! Really!! We have known you guys only for a little while, but we will miss you too. Good luck with everything! πŸ™‚

  11. Congratulations PDKS and Good luck for the future…I think Nilesh and Bhavini have summarized it well from all of us…We will miss you all…

  12. Its also like a super great Founder and CEO leaving a company. You guys should be really proud of pretty much creating KV and taking it to the level where it is today, all pure volunteering. Hats off!. Other way I look at it is that you need to be lucky to have the kind of “social-volunteer-ism” that you guys have demonstrated. Not many people have that. Me included.

Much more than a standing ovation!

  13. PDKS – Wishing you all the very BEST for future!!!

It’s heartbreaking to know you will be moving away but the only thing constant in life is CHANGE and glad that you have taken the next step.

KV wouldn’t be the same without you and all the memories that you have given us. As the saying goes “The song may be ending, but the melody will linger on forever”. Thanks for keeping KV a tight knit family.

    We will miss you….GOOD LUCK!!!
    -Sanjay & Ameeta

  14. Change is certainly inevitable, but we secretly hoped KV could bypass this one.
We can only sustain this with the memories of all the wonderful times spent together and the fact that its going to get even better for you folks and all your future endeavours.

KV will miss you all and will never be the same.

Wish You guys all the Luck !!

    – Rupesh/Smita/Ansh

  15. We don’t know what to say. It is a shock . Well nothing is constant and change is always good but it is hard to get this news sinked in. Glad you all are moving to familiar place and have familiar faces there. Sure enough the PDKS are very loving and helpful family . Pune people are lucky to have you.
    Rahul , Madhavi & Veer

  16. We wish you the very best!! Stay in touch.

    Mona, Purvesh, Jenica.

  17. Thank you for all the kind and encouraging words. They will go a long way in refueling PDKS and prepare them for the challenges ahead.

Several of you have started to wonder what will happen to KV. The website will live on and hopefully have more features soon. And hopefully we can expand our coverage to other areas. More on that later.

And to keep the website interesting each of you will need to step up and start contributing content and organize/help out with community events. In general as long as the feeling of helping the community is alive within the community, KV will be fine.

  18. Congratulations to PDKS. This KV family has been bonded because of both of you. Qualities that both of you possess, is not with all. Cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for us directly and indirectly. KV will not be the same with you all.
As Manish says “Much more than a standing ovation!”. Will miss you guys.

  19. What do we say… don’t know where to start from… I guess we have still not yet recovered from the shocking news πŸ™

But we feel so happy for you guys – PDKS that you have been able to take this decision where many of us have not been able to take due to many reasons. We equally feel sad for KV as its going to loose its Fevicol – THE bonding factor. Qualities that you guys possess is remarkable we hope to learn those qualities and be able to implement them in our lives.

Effort that you guys have put, in each and every event has just been commendable. Be it hiking, picnic, Diwali Party or camping… you have always been first one to reach at the Venue.

We feel so lucky that we got a good quality time to spend with you guys during the Cruise Trip.

Rashi and Ruchi will definately miss Kairavi, infact all the KV kids will miss her and Suravi of course.

There is so much that we need to thank you guys for… we don’t even know where to start from… but from the bottom of our heart we wish you all Best of Luck. YOU GUYS WILL BE MISSED… MISSED A LOT!!

    :((((

Thanks for making us a part of the KV family.

Like to leave you with 2 of my fav quotes:

Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. ~Richard Bach

    Goodbyes are not forever.
    Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean We’ll miss you
    Until we meet again!

  25. PDKS…
I know all of us have already communicated the way we feel about this future endeavour that you guys are going to undertake.
There are no words to describe the immense help and support that you have provided to KV family.
And just because all of us and specially Prashant you are so close to Cricket I would like to say this…

The feeling that we all are having is the same that entire India feels whenever Sachin Tendulkar gets out.

All the very Best to you Sachin Tendulkars of KV…

  26. @AmitVira, Thanks for the Analogy with Tendulkar. We are humbled. Just like in the cricket scene, its time for Tendulkar to retire so that the Rayadus, Pandeys, Valthatys, etc can take center stage and shine.
