Run, Don’t Walk to India Chaat Cuisine

Maharashtrian Menu

Thanks to the awesome KV Reco Network, we could celebrate India’s victory with some truly different and unique food.

Bhavini had recommended India Chaat Cuisine (Sunnyvale) in KV Tweets just a few days back with the details that it served Maharashtrian food as well. Since the Finals was in Mumbai and Tendulkar is from Mumbai we thought having Maharashtrian food upon India’s victory would be an ideal dedication. 🙂

So we headed to India Chaat Cuisine on Sat evening post India’s victory. Now all these “Chaat” places have me confused since I can never remember which is which (Chaat Bhavan, Chaat Paradise, Chaat Cafe, etc, etc).

The place is fairly decent sized. And the tables are spanking new (and smooth). They have traditional menu and plus a Maharashtrian menu. Our family had most of the things from the Maharashtrian menu but we managed to try a few things from other menu courtesy other friends.

The Thalipeeth was amazing and served on a banana leaf on a normal plate. The Zunka Bhakar was awesome too with besan ki sabji. Kids had Puran Polis and were quite happy. We ordered the sabudana wadas and those were yummy too served with curd and chutney. Our friends had usal pav and misal pav and the thali and they were happy with their food. Komal-Romil had Kande Pohe which were good as well. We ordered a Mango Lassi the quantity and taste of which was very decent.

I would say don’t wait and rush to India Chaat Cuisine before the Chef changes or something else happens. 🙂 (One can never say).

If you have been brought up on a partly Maharashtrian cuisine like I have you will love some of the maharashtrian dishes. Later on we went to Nirvaana for ice cream.

  1. We had catered Arushi’s small birthday party (15 adults and 8 kids) food from here and the food was amazing, plus they delivered and picked the utensils back along with the serving spoons, stands and heating cans for warming the food even for such a small order.

  2. We had mostly Maharastrian food and it was yummy. Also liked their peanut chutney.
