Gandhidham Ji Bhajaar ….

There is this area called 400 quaters (a residential area consisting of 400 houses). Every Sunday villagers with around 50-60 thela’s of fresh vegetables assemble here. Practically half of gandhidham comes here to buy their weeks stock of veggies.

As the winter sets in the vegetables turn more greener – fresher. The differet “patta bhajis – palak, sarso, tandad, pudina, methi, etc” and the desi vegetables “bhakalo” – ringna, gaajar, muli, vatana,  papdi, etc, lili lasan – lila kanda … are all available abundant.

Its fun visiting the market – with all the sabji wala’s shouting & people buying jhola full of vegetables – having a cup of hot tea with fresh samosas – occasionally if you are not aware a cow may just chomp a few vegetables from your bag – meeting friends, coleuges – and in the end having 2-3 narial pani.

Could’nt resist taking pictures on my mobile & posting them – enjoy….

Do visit the 400 qtr Sunday Vegetable Market if you are in Gandhidham ….
