As part of ongoing efforts to lower the barrier to contribute content, we introduce the KV Matrix. We will open up the KV Matrix 2-3 times a week each time with a different theme. The theme for the first Matrix is “Current Song Obsession”. Other themes to follow would be “Cook – What is the latest dish that got cooked at your home”, “Restaurant – Latest restaurant that you visited”, etc.
We will repeat the themes also after an interval. Since its a matrix, there can be only 9 entries before the Matrix closes. Or if the Matrix duration elapses 2 days then it will be closed and archived.
The idea is 3 fold:
1) To get people to contribute on specific categories. Since it just takes a few words the hope is that most Matrixes will be completed. (9 entries)
2) To help others discover things. Like for exampe If I notice Nitul is hooked onto a song, I will listen to it and discover a new song.
3) Innovate in the social networking space. Facebook is taking time away from KV. :-). Hopefully some differentiating factors will keep KVites coming back to KV.
Right now, Matrix can be created by admin only. If response is good, then we may open up the possibility of anyone creating a Matrix.
Suggestions are always welcome. 🙂
(And yes, the site will display “KV User” instead of actual author names to non-logged in users starting this Friday).

Finally our first Matrix is complete. :-). Hopefully the next one wont take up as much time.
