Request for guidance & advice on Job search

Hello All,

I am a recent MBA 2010 graduate from the College of W&M with a focus in Marketing & Consulting.

I have recently moved to the bay area and actively looking for a job. Can I request you all for some guidance & advice. Since I graduated from a East coast school I am finding it extremely hard to make step within the door in majority of the companies in this region.

Any advice, feedback or guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Is your resume up on LinkedIn ? If not, that would be the first step.

    1. One way is to connect with alumni from your school here in the bay area and seek guidance. In my experience, alumni are always more than ready to atleast spend half an hour or so to chat over a coffee or so.

    2. Keep a goal for applying to atleast x no. of jobs per week…..that helps. I found Indeed/Jobfox/careerbuilder/monster good resources.

    3. Keep patience………its not as hard to break in as you think! Good luck with your job hunt!
