Falafel Etc – a good alternative to Falafel Drive-in

This past weekend, we discovered what could be a good alternative to Falafel Drive-in (San Jose). Thanks to Smita for the recommendation. Falafel Etc is located in Fremont near the Fremont Hub.

We ordered Falafel Sandwiches and they were awesome. The pita bread for the sandwich was quite robust and it was served warm. The sandwich was bigger compared to Falafel Drive-in Sandwich. They have lot of seating too and parking is no problem at all. You can get your own sauce from the sauce bar and they have raita as a sauce too. They have cut pickled onions too. 🙂

Dimple and Komal tried a new mithai which they will comment on here. That mithai was awesome too. Only con is that they have no milkshakes as Falafel Drive in.

But Overall I loved the place and since Falafel Drive-in is not exactly close to our home, this is the new place that I will goto whenever I have the craving for Falafels.

  1. We tried Knaffee for dessert. It is melted cheese covered with sevaiya & syrup.

  2. Knaffee was yummy. I am assuming their Baklawa must be yummy too.

  3. As an alternative to Falafel Drive-in (San Jose), I have heard that House of Falafel in Cupertino is also very good. Have to try it yet tho!

  4. We have tried Dish-Dash (Sunnyvale downtown) falafels and have liked them a lot especially their egg-plant falafel is really good.

  5. Oh, yes we remember Dish-Dash, Manish :-). A bit expensive restaurant though

  6. We also go to Falafel bite (Lawrence Expressway). Their house falafel with eggplant is good. http://www.falafelbite.com/
