Are you bored of those same old restaurants and would like to try something new with eating out? Is there a special occasion you want to celebrate, and wanna make it different from the past one’s, then this would be a place to try out for food !
Their speciality is food served on a hot Volcanic Rock.  Food is cooked on the table on the rock. Kid’s also get their food on a volcanic rock, it’s not hot ofcourse.
They also serve cheese fondue’s for appetizers and chocolate foundue’s for dessert. Foundue sauce is also made by the server on the table.
Choices for vegetarians for an entree are very limited, and make sure to ask all ingredients for vegetarians. We definitely enjoyed the whole package – food, setup, ambience, service etc.Â
Rok Bistro is in Sunnyvale downtown – http://www.rokbistro.com/menu/
Cool. Thanks for the reco. Seems like a good and different place to experience.
Most places also put either beer or wine in the fondue
Yes, you are right Purvi. FYI – At Rok Bistro, the pesto parmesan was the only one without beer/wine, which is what we ended up trying.
No wonder the Gadas had to be escorted home by a designated driver. 🙂
(just kidding).
We went to Rok Bistro for a special farewell dinner thrown by the family. It was nice and good change. The cheese fondue was good and the vegetable platter was nice too. I am not a big chocolate fondue fan but that was nice as well.
Thanks for the reco Bhavini. 🙂
Avacado Salad was yummy as well. We did reservation for 12 and got back side area, which served as our own party room.
