Kutchi Dandia Raas Night
Navratri is soon coming. We have so many dance loving kutchis here that we can do a small gathering of kutchis to play garba-dandia on the beats of kutchi songs for 1 night. Plus we have Nitul – THE DHOLI too. :-). Usually we dance to the beats of Gujarati songs. But there are several nice Kutchi Songs as well.
Everything seems right in place for us to have a night of garba-dandia on kutchi songs. Of course we can have “Other popular songs” also thrown into the mix.
Do we have the enthusiasm to do such an event? Ideas on this event welcome.
Place can be a clubhouse or backyard. Other thoughts on any aspect of this event welcome.

What are the probable dates ?
Yes. We are in too, clubhouse would be good. If there is available…???

Good to see the enthusiasm. Another idea is that to do this at some other time in the year (Like during Holi or some other festival). Sept would be already busy with other Dandia, Sports Day and Diwali practices and other things.
That way Nitul can be “more free”. Right now he is busy with his own performances at various Navratris.
If the KV janta feels strongly about doing it during Sept/Oct itself we can pursue this further. Otherwise we can take it up during Feb/March.

Kaushal what kind of equipment?

A few of us are going to meet this weekend. I will discuss and update on this event.
Just FYI, Kaushal is part-time prof DJ. He has DJed in several parties and has extensive play-list.

Sandip, Now that is a news that we can all use. Kaushal you are a chuppa rustom. Whenever the Kutchi Dandia Raas Night takes place you will be an important part of it 🙂 (along with Nitul).
Also if someone wants to take the lead on this please feel free to (researching where to do it, music, etc). I will provide all the support that I can.
Same with the Sports Day as well. If someone wants to be the lead on that let me know. I will provide support there too.
