I started collecting these just for fun when the US Mint started issuing these in 1999. Now all the state coins have been released. I managed to collect most, but am missing the following states. If you happen to have any of the state quarters below, I’m ready to buy it at face value or 20% premium ;).

Nobody else in KV collect coins??
How about stamps? any stamp collectors?
Miloni has a collection of coins. She collects all the ones that look different from the normal (eagle) coins. Her summer break is coming up so maybe arranging her huge collection of quarters will be one of her projects 😉
Kairavi has day off today. So we went thro’ coins I had collected plus our change jar. Now we have all quaters but Arizon, New Jersey, New Mexico, South dekota. I think if we dig more in the jar we might find them. But next time.
And Leena we have Nebraska, Utah & Wyoming for u.
I have New Jersey and may have South Dakota. I can give you those.
I started this project after i read this post, didn’t even know that each state had it’s quarter…I am 17 down, 33 to go…
I have also started this project after reading it.
I have 14 and I need to get 36 more
Leena I have Minnesota will give it to u
Great. The fever is catching on.
The US mint will be issuing presidential dollar coins. So far 10 have been released. I have collected George Washington and John Adams till now.
Won’t you want to collect uncirculated coins as these may have great value when kids grow up 🙂
Yes. But I dont mind collecting coins which wont increase in face value. Its fun nevertheless.
Leena, Poonam has given me the Minnesota coin to be given to you. Please collect it from me.
In other words –
Delaware State Quarter – 25 cents
California State Quarter – 25 cents
New York State Quarter – 25 cents
…
Feeling of being the one among several million people who collect coins as a hobby – PRICELESS 😉
You never know these quaters can go out of circulation in future and then value will go up … high hopes 🙂
It does sound like a fun activity though – i will ask Jash to start his collection 🙂
I may have most of the circulated state quarters but have not checked my collection lately.
Leena, from where did you get the dollar coins?
From uvas canyon state park. The parking ticket dispenser gave change back in the form of the new dollar coins.
Sanjay, let me know if you have extra coins missing from my collection.
The fever is certainly catching on!
Was just checking my Quarter collection that I had started when I came to the US, but forgot about it over the years….. & I’m missing only the following –

here’s the 50 state quarters site where we can see which state quarter was published in what year – http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/50sq_program/index.cfm?flash=no&action=schedule
Major coins needed by me by year published – 2002, 2003 and 2008 except Hawaii. keep up the fun effort..
All vending machines and light rail ticket meters should give back change in quarters (and some in dollar coins).

Does anyone have Commemorative Presidential Series Coins – It is a dollar coin – which started from 2007 onwards – releasing 4 each year until 2016 (per the map board:)) I have only one presidential coin – Thomas Jefferson (2007) coin. These are hard to get.
Have couple of other one dollar coins in my collection also.
