Any weekend but before May 30th
Is it possible to have the picnic on Sunday due to kids classes.
The last question was by me.
Usually the Spring Picnic transforms into a “Patta Party” event by the evening. If its on Sunday, then the transformation wont happen.
I am ok with Sunday as well though. :-). Till what time are the kids classes on Sat.
They have swimming At 10.30am and soccer in the afternoon.
Sunday is better for us as well. Shivani has piano lessons on Saturday mornings.
Most kids have classes on Sat. morning and even larger number of kids have pathshala on alternate sunday. That leaves us with only 2 sunday open for group activities 🙁 . How about we have picnic on sat. from 12-6 instead of 10-4??
12-6 definitely sounds more appropriate for any day 🙂
Jash has soccer till 12.30 pm on Sat. Sun would be the preferred day.
If no one has objections for Sunday, then lets go with Sunday, May 10 from 11am onwards.

May 10 is in the mothers day . There are many museums for free entry in Bay Area on that day . Can we pick another sunday instead.

Do we want to swap Spring Picnic and Stroller Hike ?
Spring Picnic could be on Apr 26 and Stroller Hike can be on May 10.
How about other sundays before May 10 for spring picnic. But I guess it will clash with Pathshala
April 26 could be another option
Wanted to suggest a venue for picnic . Not sure how far do we want to go. This regional park is in Berkeley
Tilden Regional Park
I have been to Tilden Park and did not like it as much as a venue for group picnic.

No I have not been there . I just saw it as one of the popular place at some website.
Any objections to preponing the spring picnic to Apr 26th?
26th is fine as well. El Quito park from pictures seems good. I haven’t been here though.

Huddart County Park in woodside could be good for picnic as well.

26th April is OK for Spring picnic and
if, 23rd May works for Camping, we can leave

In addition to exciting games how about some exciting food also?
Typically for spring picnic its bring your own food plus extra. How about we decide a theme or one common main ingredient like corn or something? Each item should have that as core ingredient.
Hmm.. sounds interesting dimple, also how about, who can make the most healthiest meal from that particular ingredient or make out something very creative….
Shoup park may be a little too small for a group our size, but right next door is the redwood grove which is very cool, i think there are only 10 picnic tables if even that.

Shoup park is definitely small based on description (3.2 acres). John D. Morgan is 32 acres and we are bending towards John D. Morgan park in Campbell. They have a water feature as well.
