Those of you who want to brush up on the history of India can do it while sitting on your couch.  “The Story of India”, a 6 part series, is playing on KQED every Monday at 8pm PST. I saw first two episodes that covered history of early India. Having read books by Romila Thapar on the same in the past I did not come across anything new. However, it definitely looked fabulous on HD. The colors were vivid and the locations awesome.
