Prefer a latte :). Latte means coffee with steam milk. Mocha is latte + chocolate. Don’t really know what is in capucino. And what the hell is machiato – don’t recollect seeing it in Starbucks 🙂
Macchiato – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caff%C3%A8_macchiato
Coffee – is bitter and black and leaves proof (smell) in drinker’s mouth
Mocha – Sweet and hence tolerable for me and the only “coffee” family drink i will drink 🙂
Latte – coffee with milk
Capuccino – almost like shots of coffee ???
Very good topic.:-) The other day we were walking by CCD (cafe coffee day) and the aroma reminded me of Starbucks. I love Capuccino – coffee with frothed milk.
I mostly prefer macchiato’s and sometimes capuccino. I used to drink lattes with double shots as I found regular latte to be too milky. Macchiato is much less milky than latte.
Starbucks and Peets both have Caramel Macchiato.
latte — espresso with steamed milk and little bit of milk froth
capuccino — espresso with milk froth and little bit of steamed milk
macchiato — espresso stained with little bit of milk
americano — espresso with hot water
I will add one more in to this-
Frappuccino: Double Chocolate Chips, Milk and topped with Whipped cream
While at Starbucks I have mostly taken their “Tazo Chai”.
At Yahoo! I frequently take Caramel Macchiato with whipped cream and have started to like it. I need to try it out at Starbucks.
All firangis here…. no takers of Desi Duddhu or Masala Chai ???
I was not a chai person but thanks to Urmi I now have the fortune of dipping Buttered bread into masala Chai on Sunday mornings.
I am a Chai guy!
I haven’t been adventurous with hot chai and I
usually drink Tazo Chai Tea (a drink so nice they named it twice??) Latte.
However, during summer I try various combinations of Chai some of my favorites being:
– Tazo Chai Iced Tea Latte
– Iced Tazo Green Tea Latte (blend of green tea, steamed milk and sweet melon)
– Tazo Green Shaken Iced Tea (not stirred) (Chinese green tea blended with mint, lemongrass and lemon verbena, lightly sweetened and shaken with ice)
– Tazo Green Shaken Iced Tea Lemonade (add lemonade to above)
I had gone to Yahoo today & with all this coffee talk, I got myself Caramel Macchiato. 🙂
Chai at home. Outside I prefer a Mocha spiked with peppermint.
