Bethlehem in Santa Clara

The biblical City of Bethlehem was recreated in the Santa Clara First Baptist Church premises. Actors depicted the events leading to the birth of Jesus. Kalpana posted this event on KV and it looked interesting enough to warrant a visit. I must say it was worth the visit. They managed to recreate a nice Bethlehem City and the actors wore perfect clothes to reflect that age.

The event is from Dec 11 – Dec 15 (6.30 to 9 or so). The story is repeated every 30 mins. You start from the tent in front where the camels make their appearance and then you go along with the actors to various structures inside the city where they do a small skit.

Very nicely done. The event is free and they offer hot chocolate as well. There is a petting zoo also and some art and craft from ancient times and some stalls to reflect the ancient age.
