New Recipes for a 9 month old

I’m looking for new recipes for an 8 month (almost 9) old. I have given all the standard veggies and fruit dishes so far (mixed vegetables, squash, dal, khichadi, avacado, pear, bananas, apples, mango, sweet potato, peas, beans, potato, carrots, asparagus, yobaby yogurt, wheat germ sprinkled on vegetables ).

Any tofu, wheat, eggplant recipes ? Any other vegetables / fruits that can be introduced at this stage ?

  1. What did u try with avocado and asparagus? U can try nachni (sweet or salty). Wheat sheera would also work. Sanaa eats peach/plum as well.

  2. I tried avacado and asparagus by itself and diluted with formula.
Pardon my ignorance on nachni. What is it and what do you make of it ? How do you make wheat sheera for babies ? I roasted cracked wheat and then added hot water to it, but it came out horrible :-).
Also is a little salt/sugar ok at this age ?

  3. And what about bread and pasta ? Is there special kind of pasta for babies ?

  4. Nachni is a type of flour, u can find it as Raagi in Indian store. Can make sheera similar to wheat – roast a bit, add hot water and jaggery. Haven’t tried cracked wheat one, just plain wheat flour sheera.

  5. Grate strawberry, banana, oatmeal cereal and milk powder mix together with little water.i use to give pahel for breakfast and it tasted like smoothie

  6. i am giving tofu and dates together and pahel just loves it

  7. Amita, are strawberries ok for 9 month old ? I heard that its not given for allergy reasons.
Also do you do process the tofu or just use it as is.

  8. I gave strawberry pahel when she was around 9 month old and she was all ok. Actually tofu i started after 10 month and i use to give her as it is.

  9. Naachni-Satva (available in India) is sweetened naachni flour – so no need to add sugar/jaggery. Not sure if available here….haven’t seen in desi stores.

  10. Just yesterday I saw a board in India cash & carry reading “Naachni-Satva available here”.

  11. Did anybody try Neralac cereal available in Indian grocery store? They seems to have lot more interesting flavours? If yes, any opinion?

  12. If she has teeth then give corn and cottage cheese
    vegetable partha
