11 years of staying here and finally yesterday I visited the Fremont temple for the first time. I think its a nice temple. It looks more like a temple than the Sunnyvale Temple which is flat.
It has a nice Shiva deity also outside in the open. The main temple is converted from a church to a temple. So you can still see some reminders of the day when it was a church. Gives an interesting feeling to it. Like the rows of seats in front of the deities.
There were many people there yesterday. Not sure whether it was due to it being a “Tuesday” or whether it was due to “Ganesh Festival”.
I had heard a lot that there is a very nice temple adjacent to India community centre but I wasn’t able to see or go. Once I did try to go and have a look it was balgokulum which was in Oh mei kung fu academy and they had very nice ganesh pooja for kids last sat.
Then this Sat when I was at India community centre when Aashna was attending class and there was nothing available at ICC to do , café was occupied with some event. Library & computer access is not there since more than 2 months so cant surf on internet & god knows whether they will have that facility again or not.
Anyways I finally went next door saw some Indians and asked is this temple and they told yes. Went inside they showed me, they have 7 big idols and main are shiv-parvati , ganesha and few others. From outside you won’t come to know that there is a temple.
From inside it looks like more of a temple and outside structure is like a normal business complex.
Its good to have a temple in Milpitas too.
They have free yoga and meditation class too

As I mentioned center Milpitas has become a “Spiritual Center” for Indians thanks to Vaishnav Haveli, “new” temple, Swaminarayan temple, derasar, Prashant’s house (during diwali practice), etc. Apparently, there is Prajapita Brahmakumari Center as well.
Also there is Sai Baba Temple coming up in Milpitas.
Seems like every Tuesday there is Preeti Bhoj in the temple and hence the crowd on that day. Preeti Bhoj can be sponsored by folks.
