Great news and on the top of that KV was the first place that I read which broke the news to me. 🙂
Bloody well thats just not great news. Its GREAT GREAT news. Always the first one is the difficult one…Now that the ice is broken….Rest of the world here comes India…
On a side note a Desi Raj Bhavsar is in USA Gymnastics team. When I watched the USA team performance he was on the best on the rings.
Based on the Mindblowing opening ceremony, I have no doubts that China will get another Olympics in their country soon (within the next 30 years).
Mind-blowing and spectacular would be apt to describe the opening ceremony that was held in China. Executed with precision and style. China has definitely raised the bar in this regard. Rest of the world…watch out..here comes China…
Fake Fireworks Footprints Scandal and Lip Syncing Scandal have broken out since the opening ceremony.
Upon revisiting the “foot prints” the commentators did mention that the footprints were created by cinematic device and these were animated. We should assign 80% credit to the originality of the idea and 20% to execution.
There were a bunch of surising elements to this ceremony like the giant LCD, the waves created by people, the floating torch bearer, etc. I am sure that the people in the stadium didn’t see the foot prints and were still awestruck by what they experienced.
All in all, a great experience.

This article reminded me of my fellow Lithuanian and Kenyan students in Cincinnati singing “I am a disco dancer” to my disbelief.
