Junoon

Don’t remember if I’ve written about Junoon – by far my favorite special occasion restaurant on the peninsula!

Excellent food, eclectic menu – they change it 4-5 times a year, so you get seasonal flavors. Their virgin drinks are *very* good.

Entrees can get expensive, so the trick is to order the sides as they are quite filling and more reasonably priced. They’ll make their kaathi-roll without egg (highly recommended!) and have interesting raita flavors – avocado, spinach, apple & walnut. The bakaharkhani bread is worth a try as well.

The one downside is that the service can be spotty at times. They are busy 7 days a week, so reservations are recommended.

  1. Its in downtown Palo Alto, at the corner of University and High.

  2. Junoon is definitely good, but I personally prefer Mantra any day. They have better veggie options, great desserts and awesome live music sometimes

  3. GO TO CHAT PARADISE!!! 🙂

  4. We want to check out this place. We haven’t heard good things about service.

  5. Mantra was also voted the best place for ‘singles dining’ on the peninsula 🙂

  6. Deep,
Looking forward to an invitation for an occasion to dine @Junoon 🙂
