I know we had a similar article couple months back on places to visist around Bay Area….those places were more family types to be visited with parents ……A friend of mine is travelling to Bay Area and wants to do adventurous activities….hiking trekking skiing are few on her mind……would be great if KVites can help us find some interesting locations that are connected by public transport so that they can be by themself…

Look no further. Ask them to visit http://www.caverntours.com. This website covers about 5-6 caves. Various adventures can be held in these caves. We did the rappling and walk around tour. For the more adventurous, they offer a guided crawl tour with special dress and torch which lasts more than 3-4 hours.
These caves are about 2 hours from Bay Area towards the East (Towards Tracy).
