Its Halloween and no Costume Party ???

Its Halloween time and no Costume Party !!! I am as interested as the kids to dress up and have a costume in mind too. :-). However no costume party to goto. 🙁

    Urmi and I are. Do we have a place we can host. We tried asking our apt complex but they don’t have anything to rent out. We could use the pool area but that would be cold and awkward.

    While we hunt for the location maybe time to set some rules:

    1) No entry without costume. At the very least some kind of getup should be done.
    2) Cutoff at first X number of families or so who respond. To keep the crowd size reasonable. 🙂
    3) 15-20 mins of dance time in costume. 🙂
    4) Keep it short and sweet. around 1.30 – 2 hours.
    5) Split Cost of Pizza for dinner.
    6) Plenty of fun for kids too.

    What date are u considering? Wouldn’t the kids prefer to go trick or treat on the halloween night in the neighborhood. You can dress up and go with Kairavi in the neighborhood 🙂

    Yes. the kids will go out from 6-8pm. After 8pm hardly anyone is there. So 8pm to 9.30pm can be the party.

    Remember Halloween night (Oct 31st) everyone comes home early.

    Date options are :
    a) Wed, Oct 31
    b) Sun, Oct 28
    c) Fri, Nov 2

    How abt Sat Oct 27 ?
    Also, what is the target number of participants ? If we need to book/reserve a place we might as well act fast… they won’t be available esp as we close in on Halloween time.
    Last, do we need to have a theme… ?

    1) Oct 31 – should be unrestricted time for kids to go around neighborhood with local friends & be at home to give away candy to friends. Good time to know ur neighbors instead of quickly wrap up and go off for party. 🙂 Mostly people come out after dusk that is around 7pm.

    2) Nov 2 – Dandiya Night as well

    Ok. Lets fix it for Oct 28th Sunday. 7-9pm.
    Now need to hunt for a place/host. Those who have access to a clubhouse please inquire for availability on Oct 28th.

    We will also place an initial cutoff of 10 families.
