  2. Good pics Hemang. Its not only a good first post but also you managed to upload pictures correctly and assign appropriate categories to the post.

Good to see a green Kutch this year.

  3. Sending in a big salute to dear Kutch!

Nice pics. But hey, hope this is not a kind of ‘AFD trick’. You know, I have started thinking ten times before commenting for a virtual/new article ;)) ?

  4. Good thinking Honey. 🙂
May be we want more details about Hemang. 🙂

  5. Dont worry. I wont repeat the same trick again. 🙂

  6. M i (august)fool this time? was lucky last time tho’ – as far as i recollect ders small temple near talao..but who knows, rebirth of Apoooorva.. hey Prashant, idea for diwali party.. Aprova ki Amar (adhoori) Kahani..

  7. I have similar pictures of “Sadau nu talav” from exactly a year back, I *have* to find and post them (GO SADAU!!!). Hopefully soon 🙂

As an after-thought, it seems the rainfall has improved in Kutch (and Gujarat as a whole too) in the last 3/4 years; some good effects of Global Warming??

  8. Nice pictures Hemang. This is probably how Kutch must have been till about 100 years ago, before our ancestors mass-migrated, leaving behind empty houses on our native land.

I used to enjoy the trips to Nani Khakhar around the Diwali Vacation time. It made me wonder why so many kutchi ppl moved out of kutch, inspite it being such a fun place. Especially playing in the sand in the courtyard, and watching the peacocks (and listening to their sounds)

I was told that water problems led ppl to look for “greener” pastures like Mumbai. Now that I’m older (and hopefully wiser) I better understand (by direct experience) why ppl leave their “janmabhoomi” for distant foreign lands……

  9. Woh teri “janmabhoomi” hai….
    Yeh teri “karmabhoomi” hai….
