What was your childhood fantasy career?

Ok. Now you are what you are. (for most its a software professional). Nothing can be done about it now :-). But obviously you did not think of being what you are now as a child. As a kid, you might have had a different profession in mind. Maybe even one that does not exist (like a fairy or superhero).

  1. Reading all those Hardy boys and Nancy Drew novels, I used to think that a detective profession is a COOL job. 🙂

  2. I just wanted to be like my tution teacher and spank other kids in return. I became a sadist from a very early age 🙂

  3. My fantasy was to be a politician since they used to land in my town in helicopters, rode elephants in processions, were surrounded by a huge entourage, all the walls used be plastered with their poster, and were the part of some cool slogans like
    “Abki Baari…..Atal Biahari”,

    “Andhere mein ek chingaari,
    Atal Bihari, Atal Bihari” 😀

  4. Farmer. I used to luv agriculture stuff and wanted to settle down & do some real khetiwadi in Kutch.
My mom would get worried thinking that her daughter would seriously take this up as a career and be seen in the fields 🙂

  5. Bus Driver : When in kindergarten, I wanted to be the driver of the magnificient big red monsters with 2-decks on the streets of Bombay (yes it was called Bombay in my early childhood)

Not just me, all my companions at the innocent age of 5-6 years were highly convinced that the bus driver’s job was the most exciting. I do remember at times, being the “acting” driver of the upper deck in the BEST buses. :))

  6. Thankfully not many people (apart from these 5) had a childhood dream. Otherwise there would be that many broken dreams. 😉

  7. pilot (guess – this was the most common dream at some stage in every boys life and maybe some girls too). and was fascinated with sports cars (still dream of trying out for a race car driver – anyone know of any openings ;-)). If I had not become a computer engineer I would have probably become a lawyer 🙂

  8. Why broken dreams?
It’s still alive for sometime, somewhere..later..

BTW, Jaideep no doubts would get a first class lawyer degree. KV can perhaps count on Jaideep for ‘insaaf ki ladaai’ anytime..?

With our very own ‘Apurva Dedhia’ going on, Prashant stands no behind than having some COOL detective’s characteristics.

If folks r ready to become Jeegar’s students in any form, there u go, he gets to do what he ever wanted to..

Rohit n Amit! hmmmm. you guys have a hard one, don’t know what to say,
but kuchh na kuchh to ho jaayega 🙂

  9. For Amit – next time we have our campng trip – lets rent an RV and let Amit drive it – pretty close to a bus driver 😉

For Rohit – very simple to get your dream come true – we will all nominate your for KOJAIN director or maybe a position in the JCNC leadership

Guess I just openend up a new profession option for me – Dream Guru 🙂

  10. Perhaps we can call Amit to drive the U-Haul whenever we rent them and make his dream realize on a regular basis.

  11. Question is which Amit is this? Amit M or Amit V? Just so that I can contact the appropriate one when the time comes :-).
