  1. When someone starts searching for attractions in the Bay Area, you can be sure that they are hosting visitors. 🙂

  2. I have heard Exploratorium (museum of Science, Arts and Human Perception) in San Francisco is very good. But it is for older kids (may be 6+ or so)
    Here is the web site:

  3. I have heard Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum is good. When my mom was here, my uncle in Houston was highly recommending it but we couldn’t make it.

  4. Exploratarium is good. We visited there 3-4 years back. Older kids will have fun.

I think Dimple has visited Tech museum. I still need to visit it. I am dying to visit the Discovery Museum. I think I will have as much fun there as Kairavi. 🙂

Speaking of museums, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles is also good. Nice huge open structure and many ancient things (around 200-300 years) in that museum. It has a wonderful garden too.

  5. I think the Bay Area Discovery Museum is the one where they have a mini-sized model of the San Francisco Bay. They actually generate tides, etc and you can see how water flows around in the SF Bay.

We just visited it for 5 mins (since we just got in before closing time). But if you visit Muir woods then on the way back you can stop at Sausalito and visit this museum. I think its free.

  6. I have not been to Tech Museum but went to Intel museum. Its small but fun for IT people to explore old machines and technology.

  7. Leena’s company hosted their annual party in the Exploratorium a couple of years ago. It’s a good location for Diwali party. 🙂
