After a fabulous Picnic and fantastic Camping activity, its time for a Religious activity to build up some Samuhik Punnya for ourself.
Here the options which strike my mind that we can do
1> Bhavna
2> Snatra Puja
3> Navkar Jaap
4> Perform Puja and then do Chaityavandan together.
Dates can be decided once we nail down what activity we wanna take up. Also if you know any other activity that we can do please post it.
nice thought!
i like all four options, but more of option 1 and 2.
so since we’re thinking of it as a group, are we also considering to take some opinion from Panditji?
I like the idea of Bhavna. (I was having similar thoughts since few days and you brought up the same point)
I have this book “Ami Spandan” (got from India few months back) which has around 500 gujarati songs.
We will definately be involving Panditji during our activity, but right now lets decide what activity we want to go for.
Nitul, Hopefully we implement the thought this year. Anything from options 1, 3 or 4.
I like idea of 1> Bhavna or 3> Navkar Jaap. Either of this will be good to keep kids involved/focused as well.
Typically Derashar have it on sunday evening. Does planning it for Friday evening or weekend morning an option?
can we do cleaning in temple?
Options 1 and 3.
Correction – Options 1 and 2
They have particular weekend in temple for cleaning and they do send out mail for volunteering.
I go with option 1 and 3
I opt for 1 & 3 ..Friday evening or weekend morning any would work for us. how about keeping it once a month or every alternate week, 1 week for bhavna & the other for jaap.
Let’s start of with bhavna first as thats the choice that everyone has opted for and then we will also have Navkar Jaap.
I called up Jayesh (Panditji) and he was busy with something and we couldn’t talk about what it takes us to do bhavna in deraser. So once i speak to him we will then choose the appropriate dates that suits everybody.
So till then everybody starting preparing STAVANS that are common or easy for the group to sing along.
I also have quite a few Stavans that are easy for group sing alongs.
