Ok. I know you all voted for Sanjaya Malakar at some stage. Any bold folks to come forward and admit to how many votes they cast in favor of our very own Desi Maestro ? I’ll speak up. I cast about 25+ votes at many stages of the competition. And I have no regrets I did it 🙂

No we did not vote for anyboody.
We watched Sanjaya perform only 2 or 3 times , after I heard the about him on the radio. His latin song performance was good but the last performance (“Let’s give them something to talk about”) of Sanjaya was OK. Not that great.
I applaud Jeegar for coming out of closet. Anyone else with more dark secrets?
umm… Do we know you ?
I dont watch American Idol as such but after hearing so much about sanjaya watched it a bit. His last performance was definitely very average. But on the brighter side he seems to have pumped up the ratings of American Idol.
In fact even on Apprentice Finale, there was an Indian Surya who was voted out. When Trump asked him his opinion about who should be hired from the final 2 contestants, he replied “I hear that there is a young boy named Sanjaya looking for a job. Hire that guy instead”. 🙂
As Devanshi mentioned (while watching his performance) Sanjaya wanted to prove to others that “Deshi’s are not Geek” they can do diff. things besides Math and Science.
All the cabbies at San Jose airport will agree with the “not only Geek” observation.
