We recently visited Temptations-Indian Chinese Fusion Restaurant on Castro Street in Mountain View…….hold your breath before your mouth starts watering on the very thought of “Desi Chinese”…..It has a large variety to choose from……of the 5 items that we ordered we give tango to 3…..veg frankie was great(a different version than what you get in Mumbai-but was good), Chinese bhel was the best version that you could possibly expect in USA……..but veg manchurian and american chopsuey were a real let down….it just seemed bland no salt no spice…lots of flour added……..Szechwan fried rice was ok not bad….
Ambience and service were good…….all in all give it one shot…its little pricey too… dinner for two could be easily $25-30 without drinks and desserts…
And for desserts you could then enjoy Italian Gelato thats diagonally opposite Temptations.
Below is the link for the restaurant…

Sneha, U beat me to posting a review for Temptations.
I agree that the Chinese Bhel is quite good. We had ordered “tofu coriander” and Szechwan noodles both
of which were good too. They do have Punjabi food (which is a plus with kids). Bhumi and Keya both enjoyed their Saag Paneer.
Oh No. We went to this restaurant 2 weeks back and forgot to read the review and ended up ordering something other than what was mentioned here.
Hence we rate this restaurant ok.
We ate paneer chilli, manchow soup, machurian gravy with schewan rice. Everything was ok and not that great.
In fact the waiter himself told us not to order American Chopsey. So Sneha’s comment above makes perfect sense.
If we ever go next time, we will try the items recommended on this post.
Prassy, why even the possibility of a next time 😉 ?
