Do you know how to do this ? If not, there’s a whole slew of websites that SHOW you how to do it. You may have noticed a shift in the web paradigm towards user generated content. However now it seems more the trend of video based content as opposed to text-based content. VideoJug.com shows you everything from how to tie a TIE to how to take a shower. There’s a similar site ViewDo.com that does the same. And in case, you wonder how to spend your time doing nothing, worry no more. WikiHow, a text based user-generated content site will tell you how to go about doing that too. Some sites are informative too. For eg. the link posted by a KV user was very entertaintaining as well as informative. Seriously why didn’t people do it in their sleeves ?

Folding clothes is a small art by itself. :-). We learnt an interesting way to fold socks from our nanny. Before that we used to hold a pair of socks together at the base and then fold it from halfway. This has the disadvantage that the socks can get separated sometimes.
The nanny used to hold them together at the base and then turn one of the socks slightly inside out so that it covers the other sock too. This way both socks are now intermingled with each other at the base and they cannot separate out. When you remove one sock from drawer the other sock WILL come with it automatically.
Sometimes simple things like this help ease your life just a little bit. Makes me wonder what other simple enhancements like that are staring us in our face.
I learnt the same sock folding style from my bhabhi in East coast. This way the pair of socks stays together in drawer. Even our family in India liked it this way.
The video of folding T-shirt looks amazing. If anyone is able to reproduce it let us know. Will try at home today. 🙂
I learnt the socks folding style and t-shirt folding style from Nimit when i came to US in Dec. It\’s just so quick to fold t-shirts that way.
