Many of us are storage junkies. I think this can be deemed as a commonly found trait among Indians in general.
We store things in the hope that they will be get used someday. And keep accumulating stuff. Sometimes we think that maybe the stored thing can be used for some other purpose than its original purpose.
Its hard to break away from this habit. For example I myself have accumulated magazines in the hope of reading them in detail one day. Similar is the case with my half-dozen unused bats. Its hard to throw away things. And that makes for “Material posessiveness”. I guess if we are able to overcome this then we stand a slight chance of becoming a divine soul. 🙂
If anyone has been able to over the “Storage mania” feel free to share your secret.
It’s not only Indian habit but American too. Here people store stuff in their garage, basement & then rent external storage spaces as well 🙂
Theoretically anything that has not been used in the past 1 year should be deemed disposable. But reality is different. 🙂
Ladies.., not agreeing to this. Many of my heavy/formal dresses have not been worn over the past one year. now come on, that isn’t junk; will wear it in future!
(Jeinay says he barely gets a quarter of our closet space) 🙂
How about undergrade papers, high schools notes and books from masters. Deep still has it and as far as I remember (last 13yrs) didn’t touch that boxes and still has it in my garage.
