Veggie Wrap Recipe, Fruit Triffle Recipe

These recipes are given by Kalpana.

The veggie wraps

Tortillas (mission Brand)
Aloo tikki
green chutney
Red Onion , Tomato, Lettuce …cucumber sliced

Aloo tikki
for 16 aloo seekh tikkis i took 10 big russet potatoes Boil and let them cool

now once the aloo is boiled add the following to it
red chilli pdr….salt. …pav bhaji masala…… .chaat masala…..or amchur powder(dry mango pdr) …….dhaniya jeera pdr……… ..1 tsp each prob….just taste and can add more as per ur taste……. ……… .and a handful of rava…….. ….and coarsely grinded without water 4 garlic+1 inch ginger+5 green chillies+8 sprigs of corainder leaves….

Now mix all well ….and make oblong seekh shapes ……..around 5″

Plz shallow fry on high to medium heat

thats it when they r brown and crisp on all sides drain them on tissue paper…….

Green chutney

To make one bowl everything is added raw

half bunch coriander leaves
one fourth bunch mint leaves
one garlic clove
one fourth portion of small onion
one fourth inch ginger
5 green chillies(just add more or less as per ur taste)
1 tbspoon curd
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
And if u want to make it little thick add handful of dalia or gram dal(phutana)
just grind it without using water ……taste for salt chillies and lemon juice

Skip the last item if ur making it only as a dip

Just lay the tortilla…. then smear it with the chutney all around…… .next place the tikki in the middle lay all the other veggies and wrap it
Best way to wrap is fold the ends inwards and then tightly roll it till the end ….u will get the hang after making two and soon u will be an expert…… ……just cover with tissue so that they dont open

And for the fruit triffle

It has four layers

Cake, Mango custard

bottom most layer Cake (anythng of ur choice eggless homemade store brought ( i made betty crockers plain vanilla cake but with no egg just substituted one cup milk

Take a rectangular shaped container. place the cake pieces at the bottom. Cover the whole bottom with cake.

2nd layer custard. (just follow the package instructions) but u need a little thick …or else everything will fall apart when u serve. Pour it on the cake.

3rd layer fruit. Use any u have…… mostly used are berries pineapple grapes oranges….. ……You can use mixed berries from Albertson brand found in frozen section right above cool whip. You can left them outside for 3 hrs till they came to room temperature. …just layered them above the custard….. one packet was good enough

4th layer cool whip. Keep in refrigerate till ready to serve. While serving, pre-cut like cake big pieces. It makes a good potluck item.

  1. I’ve had something very similar to fruit triffle
    at a friends place…She had topped the cake with Strawberry Jam (Add some water to Jam to make it semi solid)and rest as Amisha has mentioned…top with custard and so on…
