Food Recipes : Bring out your secret

All of us have some nice recipes for cooking various different dishes. Over the past few days I had the fortune of tasting some of recipes like “Taco Bhel” and “Sauteed Sandwich with Eggplant/Bell-pepper spread”. Made me realize that some of these recipes should be out in the KV domain where others can make use of them also.

It will make life easier while trying to decide what “different” dish to cook today. 🙂
There was even some talk among a few girls after the Girls Day Out for publishing a Cookbook. That idea probably died down? Instead of a static Cookbook, why not use the online world to share.

In Kutchvalley blog we have a category now called “Cooking Recipes” which can be used for the same purpose. Uptil now it just has one entry which is the “Saffron Pistachio Yogurt Sundae”. We need to populate it with more delicious and different recipes.

So please bring out your favorite recipes and start posting as new articles with the Category as “Cooking Recipes”.

PS: If you want to discuss other “Food” related things then we have the “Food” Category also. But the Cooking Recipes should contain only “Recipes”.

  1. what is taco bhel? Post the recipe, prashant.
Here is simple ‘corn bhel’ recipe:

cooked corn, tomatoes chopped, onions chopped (optional), very little green bell pepper chopped, roasted peanuts crushed (masala peanut that we make for dabeli works too and tastes good), cilantro, salt, pepper, very little red chilli powder and jeera powder.
Mix all the ingredients. And while you serve, top it off with potato shoe strings for extra crunch.

  2. Amisha,

Neelam is the orginator of Taco bhel. Bhavini also knows about it from Neelam. So one of those two will need to write the recipe.

Can you post the Corn bhel recipe as a separate article with the Category “Recipe”?

  3. Amisha,
What happened to the recipes that you were collecting for the KV cookbook? Hoping that you received some atleast 🙂

  4. no one except you sent the recipe, bhavini.
I think people don’t feel like typing long articles.
