So as I watch Kairavi grow up, I obviously get some questions about my own childhood. We can hardly recall most of our early childhood. Which led me to wonder about “What are the earliest memories that you have of your existence? ” 🙂
The lack of too many photos in our childhood time contributes to the lack of memory about our early years. I think I have “photographic snapshots” of the time I was in Higher KG or Lower KG (dont remember exactly). But these are hardly a handful. I guess that translates to age 4 or 5. Some of these memory snapshots are of “My nursery teacher”, “Me getting hurt on the eyebrow (causing a permanent scar) while in HKG”, “me getting hurt while falling down from a stool and requiring stiches”.
Come 1st Standard in School and more visions become available. I guess the images from the early years stick in mind especially if you get hurt or something.
So going by my experience probably Kairavi will not remember anything by herself about her first 3-3 1/2 years. But then we have her videos and lots of photos. Will that be effective in jogging her memory better than me?
Only Time will Tell…… 🙂

I remember going to KG with my friend with whom I went to school till 10th grade. Sometimes my mom and sometimes her mom used to drop us to the school, holding each others’ hands.:-)
